ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
For UNAM students:

• New Applicants: Having covered all subjects and accredited curriculum in high school that have been admitted to the UNAM (National University of México) to any of the following careers or schools: Medicine, Science, Chemistry, Law, Psychology, and Philosophy and apply for registration in accordance with the General Regulation of Technical and Professional Studies Reglamento General de Estudios Técnicos y Profesionales UNAM (RGETyP) Artícles 7, 2, 4,19 and 20. Will undergo the selection process.

• Students who have completed one to four semesters of one of the collaborating academic careers (Medicine, Science, Chemistry, Law, Psychology, and Philosophy). A regular student of any of the above careers with a minimum average of eight will submit an application request. Admission is subjected to the Academic Committee of the LCF based on the selection process. Note: the Academic Committee will determine which of the subjects of the other careers are equivalent to the subjects of the LCF. The process of validation and compliance with this requirement will be determined in each case by the Academic Committee.
For students from other Schools or Universities:
• Students who have completed one to four semesters and come from other academic institutions that are not part of the careers or schools mentioned above from the UNAM or other institutions, may enter if they meet the following requirements:
o Being a regular student and having obtained a minimum average of 8.5 in the courses.
o Application request.
o Be admitted by the Academic Committee of the LCF based on the selection process for the admission of students to the LCF. ** Note: In these cases no equivalencies or validations will be made. Must undergo the selection process
Other students from Higher Education Institutions:
o Application request in accordance with the instructions set out in Articles 2, 4 and 11 of General Regulation of Admissions (RGI) of the UNAM.
o Being selected by the Academic Degree Committee. Must undergo the selection process

Selection Process
Students will initially be admitted to the UNAM and enrolled in one of the careers or schools mentioned.
Admission to the Bachelor of Forensic Science is “indirect “, students should initially apply for enrollment to another career, contemplated by the Committee namely: Medicine, Science, Chemistry, law, Psychology, and Philosophy, and then request to be admitted in LCF.
So the LCF entrance is through a career change. Thus, in the registration sheet for Competition Selection UNAM or the RA-02 pass, the graduate from high school and aspiring to the LCF must enter the name of the career that interests him among those taught in the above entities.
Selection process for the admission of students to the Bachelor of Forensics
The evaluation of candidates will be conducted by the Subcommittee on Admissions by the following procedures:
1. Examination to determine the degree of knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and research methodology. Comprehension test texts in Spanish. Reading Comprehension test in English.
2. Psychometric Test.
3. Personal Interview
4. Evaluation by the Academic Committee
In cases of career change in subsequent years . The committee first analyzes the applicant’s academic background his grade average and career will be taken into account. The selection will be made so only the best qualified students will be accepted.

The opinion of the Subcommittee on Admission must be approved by the Academic Committee that will lead to the admission of pupils.
If a student accepted finally decides not to enter the LCF the committee can choose from students not accepted and the student may register for the career that he originally selected.
