Luz Alejandra Castillo Alanís received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) and a Master of Chemical Sciences degree from the same University. She was instructed with the course on “Expert witness formation” at the INACIPE (National Institute of Criminal Law). She has received ongoing training at INACIPE, the General Attorney Office, the DEA, the US-Mexico State Alliance, and the US Department of Justice. She also received a degree in Teaching from the Anáhuac University.
She has performed as a Chemistry expert witness for the General Attorney Office. She has also worked for the Pharmaceutical Industry performing Research and development and Quality Assurance activities. She was a Faculty member at the School of Chemistry at UNAM and at Anáhuac University.
Currently she’s an Academic at the Forensic Science School of the UNAM and teaches the courses on Forensic Chemistry, and Forensic Hematology and Serology.
